They haven’t fixed the clicking yet with the 5n model……can you trust them?

This is why Sony isn’t popular in the DSLR market: they advertise their cameras for hobbyists. Look at the A77 for example: they marketed A77 as a revolutionary camera boasting high numbers in megapixel rate and burst rate. But hands on none of the features work well. The pictures are undersaturated and buffer for busting lasts 1 second. I have to say I really like the NEX but I’d rather go for a DSLR for better performance.

@Toddmars fair point, but if I paid a grand for a camera I’d go for the fuji (which isn’t a camera you can judge on paper) or a Nikon D7000 with a decent lens… both of which are great camera’s
it is all about personal preference though

THE Company..
November 19th, 2011 - 22:59
@moonboots69 So you are a blind follower of one company? Thats not really good…
November 19th, 2011 - 23:19

November 20th, 2011 - 00:15
when Canon start making these mirrorless systems, then i’ll take note.. til then it’s DSLR all the way.
November 20th, 2011 - 00:58
Is the rubber on the viewfinder removable so i can fit the camera in my pocket with a pancake lens?
November 20th, 2011 - 01:17
That price is wrong. It’s £1150 with the 18-55mm. But it will probably end up being less than £1000
November 20th, 2011 - 01:40
@Mozo901 thanks my bad i mean ILC cameras i’ve decided to go for the NEX – 5N brilliant camera fixes all the issues the NEX -5 had. OLED Viewfinder can get as an add-on. NEX – 7 is awesome though in the future i’ll just upgrade to whatever Sony releases if needed,
November 20th, 2011 - 02:18
@devilmaycry383 well this is not a DSLR…next best thing though. Looks awesome! You should check out the Canon t3i….another awesome camera if your looking for a real dslr
November 20th, 2011 - 03:10
Thanks for summing that up! I guess I’ll get the NEX-5 for now and when I need a better upgrade then move up to NEX – 7 or whatevers out by the time since I’m new to DSLR cameras.

@devilmaycry383 We were as surprised as everyone about the high launch price of the NEX-7 and definitely agree that Sony risk pricing themselves out of the reach of a lot of interested customers, but it is a new tech always got a way of starting on the top end models and filtering it’s way down to more affordable devices. We were very impressed by the NEX-7 though so if you can afford it then from what we have seen so far you wont be disappointed.
