the SD969 was so shitty I took it back also and and got a second sony cybershot.
both cameras are really terrible. anybody who says otherwise obviously NEVER owned a real digital camera.
more megapixles does NOT mean better quality so people who want to run out and get one of these need to understand that.

i love this camera..dotn have it..but tested it out in best buy and a sony store..takes beautiful pics…crystal clear…im getting the dsc-hx5v…finally have the money yay! lol

video is good———- HOWEVER———After researching over 20 hours to find a great camera I chose this one for it’s low light shooting. The camera has turned out to be a step down from my older canon powershot sd1000 now over two years old. I even bought the more expensive Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX1 for a couple days and it too turned out worse images than my old but trusty canon 1000 also. Video was better, but only slightly when viewed despite all the hype about the high video. Canon bl__ me

a week ago I got the cybershot w290 and it was the worst “digital” camera Ive ever owned. the picture quality is so poor its actually not much better than the 2mp camera on my iphone 3G. I took it back yesterday and got the cannon SD960 and to my surprise, its picture quality is not much better than the crappy cybershot. my old 4mp camera takes pictures that are like 10 times better than either of them so If i was you, I would get a less expensive 4-6mp camera.

Ok Between Sony Cybershot and Canon which is better. I was trying to compare sony W290 vs canon Sd1300 or even SD1200. My pupose is purely taking pictures and icture quality onl. No vidoes. So should I go for Canon SD1200 which is now cheaper $149 or SD1200 $189 or Sony w290 $179

well I took mine back today., I traded it in for the Cannon SD960. it does everything the cybershot did but the photos are 10 times better than the cybershot. I think the cybershot takes better video though. but then again, im testing out the cannon right now in poor lighting conditions. if you go to my channel you will see my cybershot videos., tomorrow I will make some with the cannon and you can see the difference.

yeah man I got this camera too today but it’s main minus is that it can’t zoom while video mode is on, but still it’s great camera I think;)
