Sony A77 DSLR Video Creative Style Tests
www.learningdslrvideo.com Hey guys, I wanted you to know that I am running tests on the Sony A77 for those who are interested. I am just posting this one test here so you know about it, but if you want to watch all of them you can watch them on my Vimeo channel or my 2nd YouTube channel. vimeo.com www.youtube.com My review on the A77 won't be out for a few weeks. I am also trying to figure out of the Sony A77 has an audio AGC 'automatic gain control' but I have not figured that out yet. I am also learning how to focus this thing which is harder than I thought.

haha! great! but typical sony…always saturated and all..
January 18th, 2012 - 23:15
Lol….you canon fanboys make me laugh…so you come all the way to an A77 video to spread your message that the 550d/60d is better…lol
January 19th, 2012 - 00:14
A77 video is horrible , 550d is way better
January 19th, 2012 - 00:47
@zacko10f DEFINITIVELY BETTER!
January 19th, 2012 - 01:07
@TheOtherPlum Bang for the buck is the T3i. If you are doing movies the T3i is a good
value, if you are in to photography like shorts photography I would go with
the 60D.

Hey Dave, I Have a question: I’m wondering if I should upgrade my camera body soon. I have a T2i (with ML, which is great), but I’m wondering which camera would be best to upgrade to: T3i, 60D, or 7D. I think that a flip-out screen would be useful for my work, but I’ve heard that the other perks of the 7D outweigh its lack of one. Which one is the best bang for my buck? Also, is there any foreseeable next generation for any of these lines? Thanks so much.

@hitechtonicleader what a77 better than 5d? don’t you see the terrible noise in this video? So much artefacts or whatever in the blacks, terrible quality to be honest.
January 19th, 2012 - 02:17
@lauserlu damn.. that does sound nice, but I’m more of a Canon guy. Although from test results the A77 is better then the 5D MK2
January 19th, 2012 - 03:06
@hitechtonicleader only useful if you have weather sealed L Lenses -.-
Pentax has a weather sealing technology that let#’s raindrops or even much water flow right of the lense, cool stuff
January 19th, 2012 - 03:48
@lauserlu yes that is right, I forgot the weather sealing. something I wish I would have now lol
January 19th, 2012 - 04:32
@TheCaraxon he gets the from a photography store to test, he also had a t3i, a 5d, 60d, etc.
January 19th, 2012 - 05:02
@hitechtonicleader nope, 7d has magnesium body, weather sealing, better iso, 2 digic-IV processors, better body (ergonomically), full viewfinder coverage i think, and a bunch of pro-features like wireless flash thing etc.
January 19th, 2012 - 05:36
Canon is wayyyyy better
January 19th, 2012 - 05:46
I would suggest trying to get your hands on a gh2… I have and absolutely love mine and would like to know what you have to say about it.

The visual poke the nose was very loud.. Try the rubbing tummy idea, along with tapping top of your head routine next time. It will create just the right effect.
But as for me, I’m sticking to my 550D canon. Go Douglas..
January 19th, 2012 - 06:19
the colors just…arent right
January 19th, 2012 - 07:11
so why the change from the t2i to the a77, just curious?
January 19th, 2012 - 07:11
I LOVE HOW SONY WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO MATCH CANON QUALITY.
January 19th, 2012 - 07:26
I love how the T2i is still better
January 19th, 2012 - 08:18
The focus was a little soft.
January 19th, 2012 - 08:40
if u can tell me how i can do time lapse with my a77
January 19th, 2012 - 09:17
It looks like a pre-production model ;-(
January 19th, 2012 - 09:48
I liked the landscape style, it looked synimatic
January 19th, 2012 - 10:33
@rkrockstarmusic no
January 19th, 2012 - 11:14
@msmhw yes thats true. so then it would be (kinda) like what I did. I bought a 550D last year and bought the 50mm f/1.4. I think thats the way the go. Cause the only difference between the 7D and 550D is how many frames/pictures per second they can make. And well I don’t really care about that too much cause I mostly use the 550D for videos.
but yeah cheap body with good lense pays out!
