  1. Really look forward to Sony full frame cameras. I am a Sony Alpha 55 owner and I some how miss the mirror slapping sound.

  2. i wish i can get one for Christmas but no Christmas in Egypt :(

  3. @russtuff im having the same doubts right now

  4. @eizlez
my friend just got his t3i so i intend to play with it a bit before deciding. i don’t know anyone with the sony, but i really do a lot of video so the focus ability would be really nice. problem is, i’ve always wanted a canon. i guess in the end i lean towards the canon.

  5. @russtuff so what will you buy t3i or a65?

  6. im interested in the a65 but i think video seems to be better quality on the 60d what do you think???canon 60d vs Sony a65…..

  7. really good videos! really well info, it would be nice to use a 2nd camera to show close ups, like buttons or ports in cameras. just willing.

  8. I can’t see nothing in camera because your black background and dark room!

  9. Hi MATT, the lens 16-50mm that’s included in the camera? or did you buy separately? and how much there in canada? I really like this camera SONY A65….Thank you MATT, for the iNFO = )

  11. Amazing looking Alpha!

How would it perform in Continuous AF Video Mode with the Sigma Sigma 70-200mm f/2,8 II DG APO EX HSM (like for shooting helicopter in front of a landscape…)

I really appreciate your work. Keep it up, thanks a lot :)

  12. @rkrockstarmusic A65 would be better if you buy good Sony lenses. but it’s got an ISO cap in video mode to 1300 or 1600. 600D goes to ISO 6400 i think.

I love old manual lenses and for those I would choose a 600D for the price and i prefer the swivel screen.

  13. @russtuff t3i, no question

  14. does it have built in autofocus motor?

  15. @Rationalific Totally agree with you.

  16. @NitsanPictures – Not sure. I’ll have to look into that. I could see why as the 24MP sensor isn’t a high ISO champion. That said, I’m very happy with the results at ISO 1600 in photos.

  17. @GrimsditchImages – Sure can.

  18. @Jayvo86 – Could very well be. I haven’t finished evaluating it yet, but so far I’m very impressed.

  19. Would you suggest the Canon 60d or the A65. Will be using it for generally everyday photography and occasionally sports. Also sometimes for videoing sports. Please reply if you can, I would love to hear your opinion. Thx.

  20. @rkrockstarmusic – Good question. I haven’t really evaluated the Sony video capabilities yet. I suspect the NEX-5N will be one of the best video “DSLR-like” cameras out there due to it’s sensor, small size, and ability to use practically any lens on the planet via adapters.

  21. @Rationalific – LOL… nope, not rich. I’m am selling off some other gear, and I will likely shoot Sony for 2012 instead of Nikon. I’m really LOVING the NEX-5N and the a65. The simplest explanation is I’m having more fun shooting with both of them. RE: 2 – Yes, you’re correct. Until the NEX-5N, NEX-7, a65, and a77, I really wasn’t interested in anything Sony had. Now, I’d say Sony is going to be next big thing. They’re advancing faster than anyone else so Nikon and Canon better watch out!

  22. @serdelosreyes Any A77 ISO problems are subtle, and only pixel-peepers care a great deal. If most of the pictures you take are at ISO 6400, then the A77 is a bad choice. If 75% or more of your pictures are below ISO 1600, then there will be no problems whatsoever. I have a Canon and I love it, but one problem is that they’re not really introducing the innovations at the same pace as Sony. You can wait to see what Canon will do, but I’ve tried the A77, and it’s quality.

  23. One question and one observation.

Question: Are you just rich enough to be able to buy an underwater camera, a compact system camera, and an SLT with $700 lens all in about one month, or do you spend a great deal of your salary on these things?

Observation: 2 years ago, I didn’t care about Sony cameras at all. Neither did you, I think. Now, you’re completely buying in…and I am, too. I think that Sony’s market share will skyrocket (if their Thai factory gets repaired!).

  24. @cjnalam Personally, I’d go with the A65/77, though not due to ISO, image quality, and build quality. I can’t really comment on the subtle nuances between those. I’m pretty sure that the A65/77 is better at low ISOs, but starts to lag behind at ISO 1600 and above, though not very significantly. Build quality for the 77 is excellent, and according to this video, the A65, too.

But I’d buy them because of their features. Phase detect AF in Live View, exposure preview, AUTO HDR, etc, etc.

  25. WHICHONE IS BETTER FOR VIDEO 600D OR SONY A65?
