You can, but usually ordinary batteries usually barely last long enough to fill a 16MB memory card (some brands even worse than that) before they crap out on you.
That’s why most people recommend you swap regular AA batteries with High Capacity Rechargable versions such as these: http://www.steves-digicams.com/nimh_batteries.html
ya you can, but you would be better off with rechargeable ones because regular batteries dont last very long in a camera.
