Works great. nice that it conveniently detaches form the camera. (only when you want it too) Can’t go wrong for the price.

The Pentax Floating Wrist Strap lives up to its description. Very good quality for the price. It definitely has enough flotation for the Pentax “W” series of waterproof cameras.

This needs adjusting to fit everyone’s wrist. It works but I found a neoprene neck strap to be more convenient when using the underwater camera.

I bought this to use with my Sanyo Xacti VPC-E2 Digital Camcorder and 8 MP Digital Camera (Blue). The strap is sufficiently buoyant that even with the camera attached it still floats at the surface. If I wanted to play with my daughter I could take the thing off my wrist and set it off to the side. When I wanted to take some pictures a few minutes later it was still there, floating patiently, waiting for me. (Wish I could say the same for my daughter but she’s 11 months old and sinks like a rock.)
The strap also has a quick disconnect feature. It allows you to easily disconnect the camera and supplied short cord from the wrist strap. However, it is very diffucult to reconnect it without help. (It’s easy to uncouple but difficult to reconnect with one hand.)

I bought this strap for my Pentax W60 so that I could feel a little bit better about taking the camera white water rafting regularly. The waterproof camera is amazing and being able to strap it on with a floating strap is even better! It was nice having my camera out to catch the wildlife along the river without having to take it out of case. It did indeed float with my camera attached when I tested it out on a relatively calm portion of river. I’m very glad I bought this strap.
