“Take it to a local camera shop. They should be able to tell you where the nearest repair shop is, or they might have in-house repair. DO NOT let them ship it out to get fixed for you(unless the nearest repair shop is too far away), it will only take longer and possibly cost more. Just get the name of a nearby *camera repair* shop and take it yourself.”
Now, if this is just for vanity I don’t know that they can fix it. The repair shop I go to will give me a quote over the phone if I know exactly whats wrong or if I can give them good details. Half of the time they tell me how much it will cost when I drop it off.
