  1. Your manual will give this info to you in detail.

  2. Two things:
    1. Are you ABSOLUTELY sure the info is not in the manual?
    2. Are you ABSOLUTELY sure the camera even has the function of putting the date on the photo?

If both answers are yes, then it could be that you will have to set the photo size to the SMALLEST size photo the camera will take. I know with the Canons, it can only be set to imprint the date if the photo size is set to the small 4 x 6 inch setting. It will not do it at the higher quality / size settings.

The manufacturers assume that if you want a date on the photo than it is not considered a “serious” photo and only allows the date on the small photos.

  3. Olympus digital P&S cameras don’t have the option to imprint dates onto photos. The date, time, and other shooting information is saved in the Exif data instead which is embedded into every image you take. You can access the basic Exif (Windows) by right-clicking on the picture, clicking on “Properties”, “Summary”, then “Advanced”. Uncommon parameters can be viewed with an Exif viewer — there are many free viewers available online.
