can you take photos from recorded videos?? example… I have recorded some videos from a concert. what I would like to do is pause the recorded video at a certain point and crop a photo from that video so that i have a picture of it. Is that possible with this nikon camera?

I have set my s8200 on continuous auto-focus but it does not want to focus on anything that gets close to the lens…is there something in the settings that I’m not checking off? or…am I doing something wrong?? Please help =(

@xxkpoploverxx I would go for the Sony. The audio on this S8200 is not acceptable. Also at concerts I think it would distort the audio (although I have not tested it with loud music).

I had that camera for a week, and didn’t like it at all, if you use the super zoom a lot, then I guess it’s not bad, picture quality was disappointing for me though, at the price I paid I expected a lot better. Didn’t like the colours of the images, and the low-light performance.

the video isnt that good and the audio soind good only when you was close to the camera also the autofucos very annoying thare is a better option

The video quality didn’t look anything special, be interesting to hear your thoughts on the quality in your review.
How does the video compare to the canon ixus 220 hs? I know these cameras are different in that one is a super zoom, and the other is super compact, but both boast full HD, so I’m interested in how they compare.
To be honest I don’t like these compact camera with 10x plus zooms, but obviously they must sell well.
