   The zoom is NOT “fantastic!” The man lies! By comparison with most other cameras the zoom power is very poor indeed…. and “digital zoom” doesn’t count for anything at all.

   Fact is, the camera is built for different photographers than need a long zoom, and is VERY GOOD at what it does… but suggesting it does things it doesn’t is not helpful, and not acceptable.

   i really hope there is going to be an lx4 that WON’T be part of the micro four thirds system like the recently released panasonic camera. part of the appeal was supposed to be the lack of hassling with DSLR lenses/size. and a wider angle too…since the zs series with 25mm wide makes the lx3 24 mm wide not that impressive for a premium compact

   This camera is awesome, I love it. The f2.0 is really fast and makes low light shots a snap w/o flash. However the HD 720p video is only 24 frames per second, not thirty like he was saying. Other caveats video can’t zoom during recording, and audio is only mono not stereo.

   the old guy tries to make it seem like hes smarter than his co-host by explaining aperture, then says “the regular 16:9.” you just know they hate each other. salesmen make me sick.
