Is it possible to charge this camera directly from a USB port? Without the need of an external charger?

@fervenezuela THX 4 your info, guapa. I won’t buy it now and get a Leica V LUX 20 and stay away from water. I guess I can’t go wrong with Leica and they keep some of their value. My buying slogan is: “safe just a bit longer and get tops”. Hasta Chocopasta.

Don’t buy this cam…some internal parts of mine are oxidized…after 6 month and carefull use…Panasonic doesn’t want to change this parts and said that IS NORMAL…yea rigth, very “NORMAL” (and reliable) have a waterproof camera with internal parts oxidized!!!!! I´m very disappointed with Panasonic, Lumix brand and costumer service!

Im planning to buy this1 and i’d recommend checking some professional reviews, or just visit the panasonic home page and look at reviews there.
Cheers.

To answer your question, ya sure, videos work just fine to!
i had the olympus stylus(lost it when i moved) and now i have the lumix, and to be honest, the stylus is better in many ways, like the fact that nothing covers the lens when the lumix is on, and when you are out adventureing and require a water shock proof camera, it is rather dangerous. if your looking for a good rugged camera, get the newest olympus.

September 30th, 2010 - 17:58
Does this cam really feature 60fps? Seems to in the highspeed recording at the very beginning
September 30th, 2010 - 18:20
does your zoom button get stuck?
September 30th, 2010 - 19:08
hey, where it says 12 megapixels on the back of the camera isnt highlighted in black on mine, lol
September 30th, 2010 - 19:49
i wish it came in black
September 30th, 2010 - 20:48
in other videos zhey say you can go underwater to 3m and let it drop from 1.5 meters
September 30th, 2010 - 20:58
The whole right side on mine is soft and in spite of proof Panasonic will not do anything about it, they say it looks fine to them. Not a good company or product IMO. Not worth going to court over a $500 camera.
September 30th, 2010 - 21:32
Noise is a fact of life with all ruggedized cameras. If the whole side is soft, warranty it.

I’m impressed with the video on my DMC-TS1 but very disappointed in the quality of the still images. I feel reviewers are downplaying the significant image issues on account of the ruggedization feature, but to me the still images are not good at all. Specifically the entire right hand side is soft, and the image is hugely noisy.
