  1. enough with the ummmms

  2. What is your computer to edit your photos?

  3. In the video it looked like the lens hood blocks a part of the image seen through the viewfinder. Is it detrimental to the framing of the image or do you get used to the it?

  4. It’s cool. However, I think it’s cheezy how they make it look similar to a 35mm rangefinder/M9 with HD video. Kinda wack.

  5. Absolutely Fantastic!

  6. Absolutely Fantastic!

  7. Nice review! Few Questions though. How much did you get it for? When will it be released in the United States? Price?

  8. if you do giveaways i would love this camera. thanks

  9. The photos look very good
You said nothing about videos – he videos I have seen do not look good
The auto focus system is too slow
It appears while panning or a train coming into the station the auto focus cannot keep up so there is no real clarity. I did not see any rolling shutter which is a plus but at time it was jerky – that could be Youtube
Any comments am I right about the focusing?

  10. @globalimage Thanks for letting me know! :D

  11. tone down the hand motions, quite distrackting

  12. Awesome video! I’m a DJ from Amsterdam (Netherlands) and i’m considering to buy this camera to shoot some HD-movies in the clubs. How does it perform on low light?? And how do you rate the video quality overall ?? Thanks!

  13. @marloon88 Thanks for answering Marloon. Your photos look stunning on this video. Now what editing software program do you use for editing your videos?

  14. @marloon88 ya right, instead of turning the ring that’s meant for hobbit’s fingers, moving the camera with magnified view on for fine tuning is more practical.

  15. @ngso0009 The hood fit perfectly well with the adapter with any 49mm filter. I used a normal one as oppose to a slim filter and it worked without any vignetting.

You are definitely right about pressing the AEL button, however, fine tuning using the focusing ring is DEFINITELY not as fast as compared to an DSLR. I personally tried the AEL button technique and i never became fond of it – and that’s coming from a AF back button pusher. ;)

  16. Great presentation, I couldn’t believe I watch a guy sitting there talking for 10min :) A question, the hood fit perfectly well with the adapter with any 49mm filter in between? For manual focusing, it is recommended to press the AEL button for fast focusing and then fine turn using focusing ring, turning the focus from one end to another is frustrating.

  17. @marloon88 sorry :) didnt mean to burn a hole in your wallet, haha :) I watch your videos too! your strobing economically” videos really helped me a lot half a year ago till now. thanks again for the reply :)
    keep your vids coming!

  19. @djromanj i know! FINALLY RIGHT! HAHAAH

  20. @johnnybrazil01 Thanks Johnny! I use Premier to edit my photos! :D

  21. @AnhRichie That’s a FANTASTIC (I love that word!) question! The Canon L prime (35mm f1.4L) provides thinner Depth of field because of the 1.4 aperture and the full frame sensor. It also provides more contrast/color and better bokeh. I mean, we are comparing it to an L prime – do you get what I mean? HAHA! The fujifilm 23mm f2.0 is still no slouch but it’s really no L prime lens.

  22. Awesome video and review Marlon! =)

  23. shooting the video with a ultra wide makes everything look wonky

  24. The IQ you get with the X100 is it comparable to say a canon L prime?

  25. totally agree with your opinion, i am on your side
