Free Digital Camera Software: Upgrade Your Canon
live.pirillo.com - I am a fan of the Canon Digital Cameras, but not such a fan of their software. Whappo sent me an email to let me know about an open-source program called CHDK, which can be used to update the software for your Digital Camera.

I have installed CHDK on my Canon A720 and I Can`t find time lapse option in this software, can u help me where in menu should i set time lapse???

I have CHDK for my Cannon A590! YEAH!! Doing time lapses of storms every night. 2010! You have to enter like a cheat code to boot into alt mode, but if you learn it IT ROCKS!!!!

WHAT I really really miss is: being able to change the ratio from 4:3 to 1:1 or 3:5….!
Yes it would cut out pixels – but i’d be able to make a perfect 1:1 compostion on the spot aand not in photoshop!

He said if you don’t want chdk in your camera anymore, then erase it from the card or switch the card with another. There is another option! The only way to activate the chdk on your camera is to switch your lock switch on the card to the lock position. To diable chdk and use your camera’s NORMAL interface, then switch the lock switch back to unlock:D

i have a very expensive camera and my answer to this is … if ur camera doesnt have a battery indicator then you should probably buy a more expensive camera.
if im not mistaken .. the battery idicator is at the bottom of the features list…. in any device.
