I am glad you realize the fact of declining technology. Newer technology is much crappier than the older technology. These are strategies that the companies use to make money. The list goes forever. The main ingredient they use is popularity and power. Companies that have lots of power will at first have good technology, but then they will make cheaper and crappier technology, and force us to upgrade to the newer technology. They delude us that it is better because it has more features.
