hi i havent checked to see whether enyone replied
i use JVC 1~2x DVD-RW
AND MAKE SURE THAT BEFORE YOU START RECORDING ANYTHING THAT YOU HAVE YOUR VIDEO CAMERA PLUGGED INTO THE WALL FOR ADDITIONAL POWER SO THAT YOU CAN INITIALISE THE DISC.. OTHERWISE YOU WONT BE ABLE TO USE YOUR VIDEOS ON YOUR COMPUTER (ITS CALLED FORMATTING THE DISC) IF YOU NEED MORE HELP LET ME KNOW ILL DO MY BEST TO GUIDE YOU THROUGH THE PROCESS..

Thank you. Is there a particular type/brand of mini DVD that works for this? I can’t transfer my films from the DVD to the computer.
Also is there a particular type/brand of memory card that works for the DC230?

I know this is a very old review of a camera that probably nobody would buy any more, but why do you say it has 1000x digi zoom when clearly on the side of the camera it says 35x ?
I love your website, but you make way too many mistakes in these review videos.

I dont really understand megapixels. How is 1.07 megapixels good for a camcorder, but not for a still image camera?

Mini DV is very easy and fast to edit! I have the HC52 mini dv.

btw, i dvd cameras are shitty =), think about this: what happens when you accidently hit ya cd player, it stops reading for a while, think about you are always moving your dvd cam, or maybe somebody is walking to fast and hits ya, an error, another movement, another error, ..oh i didn’t mention the battery yet, the laser, that BURNS a dvd, that really needs battery, the quality SUCKS too, to everyone: get MiniDv cams
